Career Guidance with Joanne Hanrahan

With almost 20 years experience in guidance and counselling I understand the fear, anxiety and stress that we all feel when faced with making challenging life decisions regarding careers and education. Through my guidance counselling service I help both adolescence and their parents through the process of career choice.

How I Help

The service I offer can be tailored to individual needs ranging from a one-off session on a specific topic to a number of sessions covering all your guidance needs. Introductory 90 minute sessions are geared towards both 5th and 6th year students.  These normally consist of a motivational interview, identifying interests, abilities, talents and skills, as well as an introduction to careers research.

Tailored packages can include further 60 minute sessions to discuss Interest Inventory analysis, CAO process, PLC/Further Education options, Study Skills, Parental Meetings, Access Routes (HEAR, DARE), Subject Choice, Personalised Handouts etc.

Contact me at 087 713 3737 to discuss your needs and arrange an appointent.
